This weekend, the Tennity Ice Pavilion at Syracuse University will come alive with the spirit of competition and camaraderie as it hosts the Syracuse Sled Hockey Classic. Teams from across the region, including the CNY Flyers, Ft. Drum, Albany, and Buffalo, will face off in an inspiring display of athleticism and teamwork.

The action kicks off Friday evening with two matchups: the hometown CNY Flyers take on Ft. Drum at 6:00 PM, followed by Albany battling Buffalo at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, teams return to the ice for four exciting games that will determine seeding for Sunday’s medal rounds. The Bronze Medal Game begins at 8:30 AM Sunday morning, leading to the climactic Gold Medal showdown at 10:00 AM, where one team will emerge victorious.

Throughout the tournament, spectators can expect fast-paced, competitive sled hockey, where skill, determination, and strategy take center stage. The event is not only a celebration of the sport but also a testament to the perseverance and dedication of the athletes.

Adding to the weekend’s excitement is a silent auction, featuring a variety of donated items. Proceeds will support the continued growth of sled hockey, with bidding open until the end of Sunday’s Bronze Medal Game.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the sport, the Syracuse Sled Hockey Classic promises a thrilling and uplifting weekend that highlights the power of community and inclusivity through sport.
