CNY Flyers to hold sled hockey tourney in March at Syracuse University

The CNY Flyers are gearing up to host the Syracuse Sled Hockey Classic, a three-day tournament that will take place March 15-17, 2024, at the Tennity Ice Pavilion on the campus of Syracuse University.

This is the first time the tournament will be held at Syracuse University, and it will feature sled hockey teams from across New York State, including Central New York, Albany, Buffalo, and Fort Drum/Watertown.

The tournament results from a partnership between the CNY Adaptive Sports and Tennity Ice Pavilion. Members of the CNY Flyers have been volunteering at Tennity Ice Pavilion to teach sled hockey to the Syracuse University community at the pavilion’s weekly Inclusive Ice sessions.

This is a great opportunity to witness sled hockey, a fast-paced and exciting sport played by athletes with physical disabilities. The tournament promises to be a weekend of thrilling competition and a celebration of adaptive athletics.
