CNY Adaptive Sports celebrated a collaboration with the Syracuse Men’s Hockey Club during Syracuse Univesity’s Disability Pride Week, hosting the innovative “The Inclusive Cup” sled hockey tournament at Tennity Ice Pavilion.

This event provided an opportunity for community engagement and education on adaptive sports while also raising funds through a GoFundMe campaign to benefit the CNY Flyers Sled Hockey Team. Including athletes from the CNY Flyers in each of the six participating teams underscored the essence of the event—fostering a sense of unity and demonstrating the organization’s vital role in supporting disabled athletes.

The CNY Flyers Sled Hockey team secured crucial resources for future ice time through the tournament. It reinforced its mission of promoting inclusivity and diversity in sports within the broader Syracuse community.

The event was a collaboration between CNY Adaptive Sports, Syracuse University’s Disability Cultural Center, the SU Men’s Hockey Club, SU Club Sports, and the Tennity Ice Pavilion at Syracuse University.
